240V conversions available from various brands and models. Step down convertors only change voltage - there are numerous factors that are detrimental to sensitive componentry, from the use of non 220/240V transformers, not to mention failing to replacing componentry that is unsuitable.

Strongly suggest service/preventative maintenance of 30+ year old synthesizers, whether in use, or just bought - whilst some vintage amplifier owners have a  misplaced pride in owning a 40+ year old system and "not ever having to do anything to it :-)"..we'd like to think that vintage synthesizer/pro audio owners have a bit more understanding of proper care and maintenance over time and usage, given the values only keep increasing, and some componentry is not easily replaced.
